# Wash programs creation
In order to create a wash program, select programs from the Programs and Cycles screen and then tap the plus icon button on the bottom right.
Once you do so, you enter the wash program creation guided flow and you can simply follow along with the prompts to create a complete wash program in under 60 seconds.
Here's a detailed description of the guided flow:
# Assign name, description and tags
In this first step, you can enter a name and a description for the wash program you're about to create. You can also optionally create and assign up to three tags, for instance you could tag the program with the name of the customer it's going to mainly be used for (#HotelXYZ) or you can tag it with the name of the fabric it's going to be used for (#silk).
To proceed to the next step, tap Confirm.
# Add cycles
In this second step, you can select and add as many cycles as you need. In the list of the available cycles, you'll see all the ones that you previously created. In order to select the ones you want to include in this program you're creating, simply tap on them. The order in which you select them does not matter as you'll be able to re-arrange them as you wish in the following step.
If you find you'd like to add a kind of cycle that you didn't previously create, you can proceed to create it right from this same screen and then add it.
# Specify an order for the cycles
In this step you can drag and drop the cycles around to rearrange their sequence. You can create the sequence as you like with no restrictions whatsoever, they'll be run inside the wash program exactly as you set them.
# Define short spins
If you would like the program to run short intermediate spins between each cycle, then you can tap on the short spins button and define the motor speed and the duration in seconds. If you don't need short spins to be run, simply leave the card unselected.
# Define motor settings
In this last step you can define motor speed in Gs, left and right rotation time and pause time in seconds.
# Congratulations!
You've just created your completely personalised wash program! There's no limit to what you can do program-wise with the Wash Configurator.
# The duplicate function
If you need to create a program that has a lot of settings in common with one you already created, you can use the duplicate function and then assign a different name and modify the parameters you need to alter. After the first couple of programs, you'll be creating washes at light speed!
